Purchasing Manager – Steel Products Industry

Salary $70,000 - $85,000 (Base + Bonus)

Metal fabrication products manufacturer is seeking a Senior Level Purchasing Manager. This person will manage sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers. Will manage 3 in the purchasing department, and will be the key contact person for purchasing and quotes from vendors. This key individual will interact with all departments within this facility, and prepare and monitor goals and budgets. This person will be improving the department, focusing on cost savings. The Purchasing Manager reports to the President of this organization.

The ideal person will have a Bachelor degree. CPM or advanced degree is a plus. Would like someone out of the metal (steel) fabrication industry. At least 7 years of management experience in purchasing, with experience in negotiating, materials and budget control, project management and customer relations. Needs to be improvement and systems driven.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree is a must. CPM or advanced degree or Global sourcing is a plus.
2. Solid purchasing experience with at least 7 years of Purchasing Mgmt experience.
3. Metal fabrication industry experience ideal, steel purchasing is a must.
4. Good leadership skills, and good knowledge of Kanban.
