Design Engineer – Growing Organization – Consumer Products

Salary $65,000-$75,000 Range, plus excellent benefit programs.

This company has expanded their product line by leaps and bounds over the past 5 years. They are adding a new product to their existing line and this person will be involved in that transition. The main responsibilities of this engineer will be with the structure of the product. You will work directly with customers on the designs of new products. Will work with internal and external vendors. Will support process improvement efforts. Conception to production will be the scope. If you are a self-starter who likes working on and off site with customers, this is a great opportunity for you.

Individual should have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. At least 5 years of New Product Design experience. Should have experience in sheet metal and/or stainless steel components that have been formed, cut or welded. Examples are file cabinets, tool boxes, appliances, etc.

The facility is located in the South. About an hour from a metro area. There are colleges in the area. Excellent community to raise a family. Good schools, etc.

Requirements
1. Must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineer related field.
2. At least 5 - 7 years of Design experience with a good understanding of electrical design.
3. Must be about to think out of the box.
3. Experience with sheet metal and plastics design.
